We are a social club in the Rochester, NY region whose members have an interest in ballroom and social dances. The club started in 1973 as the British American Club with members interested in British culture. Over time, the club's focus has moved fully to ballroom dancing resulting in the members voting to change the club's name to Rochester Ballroom Dancing in 2021.
We hold monthly dance events in the Spring and Fall for club members and their guests with live bands playing the music. These events are held at various venues in the area. Our events are scheduled as dinner dances. Members can also come just for the dancing.
Club members span the range of dance skills from beginners who know only one or two basic steps to seasoned dancers who have taken many lessons and a few members who are past and present ballroom dance instructors. Your level of dance skill will not effect your enjoyment of our monthly events.
We always welcome new members. The only requirement is to enjoy dancing and socializing with friends. For more information about Rochester Ballroom Dancing or to ask for an invitation to one of our monthly dances, please contact us here or use the buttons at the bottom of this page.
